Our History

The year was 2003, when Kat first brought to fruition her vision for Blue Chakra Connections, Inc. First was the creation of Gourmet Cooking Hawai‘i - a way to pull back the curtain and give people the experience of chefs at work via cooking experiences. Out of these cooking experiences evolved Gourmet Events Hawai‘i (GEH), a full-service catering and event planning company. As GEH grew, so did the need for hospitality staff. In 2015, Blue Chakra Connections (BCC) won the contract to staff the Hawaii Convention Center and thus, GEH’s sister company, Aloha Hospitality Professionals (AHP), was born.

We do everything associated with catering and event production. GEH is committed to brilliance as a full-service catering and event production company. Our comprehensive services ensure every detail is executed with flair and precision. From welcome and farewell dinners, grand openings, galas, red carpets, brand activations, summits, cultural celebrations, festivals, weddings to VIP dinners, GEH stewards each event with unwavering commitment and attention to detail in managing conception to a celebration, with roots in Hawaii and global reach.

We have created exclusively themed experiences, such as the Feast of the Merrie Monarch, Culinary Challenge Hawaii, Chinatown Chase, Sassy Swing on the Battleship Missouri, Cirque Polynesia, and Blue Hawaii: The Retro Hula Days, to name a few.
