Joel Catering and Special Events is a full service catering and event planning company. Our expert and efficient staff have a combined 75 years of experience in the food industry.

We will work with you to coordinate every aspect of your event, from food, wine and liquor to venue selection, entertainment and design. Joel offers a full service premium bar along with a seasonal specialty cocktail menu. Our inventory of serving pieces includes an extensive collection of rustic wood, distressed Italianate ceramic, modern pewter, and sterling silver pieces. We exclusively combine a variety of fine china patterns and flatware for a classic and understated style.

Joel Dondis, owner, has over 30 years of food service experience. He formalized his education at the Culinary Institute of America in New York and worked for some of Europe’s finest restaurants and hotels before returning home to New Orleans. The combination of classical training and southern upbringing defines the food of Joel. In keeping up with the constantly evolving food business, we are forever looking for new and inventive ways of preparing and presenting our gourmet food. By using only the finest of ingredients and preparing as much as possible “a la minute” on site, we never compromise the food quality.
